Lokomotiv Stadium - built in 2002.
Lokomotiv Stadium will host the clash between Lokomotiv and Spartak.
The most interesting game in the RFPL this weekend is certainly the Moscow derby between Lokomotiv and Spartak at Lokomotiv Stadium Saturday. We are looking at two sides who, despite being geographically close, are in completely different places at the moment. The hosts from Lokomotiv have played six games in a row without losing, and they are currently third in the league. Spartak on the other hand, have played four games in a row without winning, and the fans are slowly becoming more and more unhappy with head coach Dmitri Alenichev as well as the Red-White players.
To make things even worse for Spartak, they will have to do without the two central defenders Salvatore Bocchetti, who’s suspended, and then the injured Ilya Kutepov, which could make room for the inexperienced Aleksandr Putsko. With this in mind, betting on Lokomotiv to win, as Ilya Sokolov also suggested in his betting advice on this site, seems like a sensible thing to do, especially considering Lokomotiv are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures against their Red-White city rivals.
Another interesting bet for this game is Lokomotiv’s Serbian striker Petar Skuletic to score. The Serb has been in and out of the team this season, but has regained his spot in the starting line-up lately, and he has given thanks with two goals in the past three matches. Skuletic is strong in the box, and against a weakened Spartak defence, he should get his fair share of the chances.
Because of Spartak’s defensive weaknesses and Skuletic’ good form, we could also be in for quite the goal fest. Although Lokomotiv isn’t a high scoring team, Spartak’s defence has been nothing short if awful lately. The guests are furthermore forced to go for the victory in a desperate attempt to salvage their season, which could open themselves up behind. Lokomotiv are best when they can sit back and play on counters, which should be very possible against Spartak. Over 2.5 goals seems like a good option therefore.
There are plenty of interesting options for this clash at the top of the RFPL, and it could therefore be worth looking forinformation regarding sport bets to find out where to get the best bonuses and odds online.
Injuries:
Lokomotiv will have to do without the two wingers Maicon and Maksim Grigoriev. Neither of them are key players however, and they have both been out for a while now, meaning the Railroaders should be alright.
Spartak however, are without the suspended central defender Salvatore Bocchetti, which is a big loss. Ilya Kutepov has furthermore been ill in the past few days, and his participation in the game is highly doubtful at the moment.
Lokomotiv: Guilherme – Denisov, Corluka, Durica, Pejcinovic – Mykhalyk, Kolomeytsev – Kasaev, Miranchuk, Samedov – Skuletic
Spartak: Rebrov – Kombarov, Putsko, Granat, Parshivlyuk – Romulo, Glushakov, Zotov – Popov, Promes – Ze Luis
