The January transfer window is now just days away andPremier League clubs will have a chance to splash the cash or pinch some pennies.
While the majority of the nation will be able to put their feet up over the festive period, teams will no doubt be working behind the scenes to get some transfer business done.
Arsene Wenger has attracted a somewhat frugal reputation during his spell in charge of Arsenal, but the Frenchman could be about to have a change of heart.
The French coach is reported to be ready to launch a £33m bid for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Poland international is believed to have been tracked by the Gunners for more than a year and, with Francis Coquelin out injured, the north London club will make their move next month.
Wenger's side are also said to be on the brink of a deal for Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny, with only a fee left to be agreed for the 23-year-old before the transfer can be rubber stamped.
Manchester United's front line has faltered of late and the Red Devils are lining up a 'swoop' for Japan striker Yoshinori Muto, according to the Mirror.

The Mainz forward was linked with a move to Chelsea last summer but opted to join the Bundesliga side and has now attracted interest from Old Trafford.

Muto's contract runs until 2019 but Mainz might be persuaded to part ways with the striker if the Red Devils table a substantial bid.

But Krychowiak is not the only midfielder that could be on his way to the Emirates.

Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny is also on Arsenal's wishlist, according to theMirror.

A fee has already been agreed by the Gunners and Basel and the 23-year-old could move to north London in the early stages of next month's window.
Arsenal will make a £33m bid for Grzegorz Krychowiak in January, report the Sun.

The Poland international has been on the north Londoners' radar for some time and Arsene Wenger is ready to make his move to bolster his defensive midfield options.

With Francis Coquelin out injured they're pretty non existent and another man in the middle could help the Gunners' title bid during the second half of the season.
