Zimbabwe lost the ‘Zambezi’ derby 1-0 on Tuesday despite creating the better of chances on the day against Zambia while Mali couldn’t handle Uganda Cranes dead ball expertise in a 2-2 stalemate.
In the aftermath of the Zambia loss, Zimbabwe Coach Kalisito Pasuwa was left disappointed and he made it known in his post-match remarks.
"The number of chances we missed cost us a lot. If you were critical, Zambia didn't have so many chances, they got one and utilised it while we kept on missing ours."
Against a never die Mali side, the Southern Zone nation must be keen for the entire game if they are to avoid early tournament exit as they currently sit at the base with zero points.
In the other group D fixture on the day, Uganda takes on Zambia who lead the standings with maximum points from one round played.
