WESTERN Sydney Wanderers have beaten Adelaide United 2-1 after a controversial brace from super-sub Brendon Santalab in a 2015-16 Grand Final rematch at Coopers Stadium.
Henrique opened the scoring on his home debut for Adelaide in the 43rd minute when he struck Ryan Kitto’s cross past Andrew Redmayne.

Wanderers substitute Santalab levelled the scores in the 67th minute when he finished Mitch Nichols’ cross from point-blank range.
Adelaide coach Guillermo Amor complained to the referee that Santalab should have been sent off in the 84th minute for a late challenge on James Holland, but the Wanderer only received a caution.
Santalab then hit his second goal of the match in the first minute of stoppage time from a Nichols cross to give Wanderers the 2-1 win.
Jack Clisby arguably could have been shown a red card in the first minute after he took out Adelaide’s Cirio, who was susbtituted 10 minutes later after another challenge from Dimas.
