Nancy vs PSG: Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips

Nancy vs PSG
French Ligue 1
Date: Saturday, 15th October 2016
Kick-Off at 16:00 BST
Venue: Stade Marcel Picot, Tomblaine (Nancy).
It’s never a great time to play PSG but when you are bottom of Ligue 1 it can be even harder. Nancy has lost two games in a row but before that they looked like they were going through a mini recovery picking up five points from a possible 9.
There are many problems with Nancy, they have not scored for three games and have only scored 3 goals all season and unless they pick up points their fate could be sealed sooner than they would like to think.
However it’s not all rosy at champions PSG either. Having lost 2 games already they trail league leaders Nice by four points and are having to settle for ‘just’ 3rd place right now. Coach Unai Emery is under pressure to find consistency within his team.
Though there are problems for PSG they are widely expected to win this game even if they are away from home. One reason is not just the gap in quality but also the fact that the home team will be missing a batch of important players.
Youssef Hadji, Clement Lenglet and Tobias Badila will not be taking part through injury and suspension. For PSG Edinson Cavani will not play as he returned late from international duty, this is a blow given that the Uruguayan has scored 11 goals in his past nine matches. Jese should start though.

Nancy vs PSG: Head-to-Head Stats

The clubs have not met since 2013 and so Nancy has not really played PSG when they have been at their absolute strongest. Past results are good for Nancy but then again this was before PSG had their big investment.

Nancy v PSG: Prediction

Even without Cavani PSG should have very little trouble against a side that have yet to win at home this season. PSG should comfortably win this in a professional manner. Keep an eye on Angel Di Maria and he could play a key part for the visiting side on Saturday’s fixture.
