Toulouse left us before the international break by going down to Caen 1-0 which was disappointing for them considering that they had begun a 3 game winning streak. It was also a missed opportunity to pierce into the top 3.

Toulouse have had a good solid start to the Ligue 1 campaign, at home they have a 100% record where they have beaten Bordeaux, Guingamp and PSG. Indeed only the French champions have conceded less than Toulouse at home, Toulouse are on 2 goals let in.
Monaco will be the visitors and the pretenders to the title could be witnessing their most consistent season yet. They are in 2nd place and chasing leaders Nice and from 8 games played they have won 6 of them.

Monaco have impressed because after they lost 4-0 to Nice they went on a two game winning run and didn’t feel sorry for themselves. The loss seems to have had very little effect on Louis Jardim’s team.

Monaco’s Radamel Falcao resumed training on Monday after being out through injury for the past 3 weeks. Jardim is going to be extra cautious and final tests have been given to the talented striker. The decision to play him could be last minute but we shouldn’t expect him to start, at best he will make his presence deep in the second half, if the tests come back good.
