Dele Alli rescued a point with a dramatic late equaliser to preserve Tottenham'sunbeaten record in the Premier League.
Alli netted in the 89th minute after Nacer Chadli looked to have won the game forAlbion in the 82nd minute against his old club. A
After previously beating Man City, Spurs dominated the first half but could find no way past Baggies keeper Ben Foster, who was in fine form.
The hosts grew into the game, looking dangerous at set pieces, and Chadli lashed in eight minutes from time after Hugo Lloris could not hold McClean's low shot.
To add to Spurs' frustrations centre-back Toby Alderweireld was carried off after the break but Alli struck late on to the visitors' relief.
Here are five things we learned.

1. Spurs remain unbeaten

Tottenham's win over Man City means they were the only side in the top-flight yet to taste defeat coming into this clash.
Spurs have a good record at The Hawthorns after not losing in their previous six visits and fought hard to maintain it after falling behind late on.

2. Tottenham's busy fixture list

Today's trip to The Hawthorns is first of seven games in 23 days for Mauricio Pochettino's squad.
Next up is a Champions League away game on Tuesday against Bayer Leverkusen and with that in mind Mauricio Pochettino started with in-form Heung-Min Son on the bench despite five goals this term.

3. Spurs need Kane back

England hitman Harry Kane scored 25 goals last season to win the golden boot but he has not played since last month's win over Sunderland when he damaged ankle ligaments.
He is due back in training next week and Spurs will welcome back his finishing prowess on this evidence.

4. Chadli shines against former club

Nacer Chadli has been a revelation at Albion since a £13million move in late August.
He had previously struck three goals in four Premier League games - as many as he managed in his previous 30 while playing for Tottenham.

5. New Baggies tenure off to good start

New Baggies owner Guochuan Lai was in the crowd at The Hawthorns watching a game for the first time since buying-out Jeremy Peace in a Chinese takeover worth around £170million.
But Spurs had 77 % possession in the first half as boss Tony Pulis showed the visitors huge respect by ordering 10 men behind the ball.
After the break Albion looked more dangerous from set pieces which led to their opener but Spurs still rescued a point.
