Hector Bellerín praises Arséne Wenger's youth policy

The Spanish full-back has expressed his gratitude, following his breakthrough season at the Emirates.

Hector Bellerín was snapped up from the Barcelona La Masia youth academy in 2011, and was rewarded last season with first-team action, replacing Mathieu Debuchy - who was fairly unlucky with injuries, sidelined for three months twice.
Arséne Wenger has spent big money on Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez in the past two seasons, but he has never turned away from giving young players an opportunity in the first team, Bellerín is just the latest to benefit from this, making 20 appearances last campaign.
"The fans rate that Arsenal don't just buy players, they make them the players they are." Bellerin told Arsenal.com.
"When players like Francis (Coquelin)Jack (Wilshere) or myself come up, the fans should be proud that their team is doing what they're doing. That's a great thing Arsenal do".

Bellerín's path to success

The youngster's rise at Arsenal, has almost been meteoric and possibly accidental. Much like Coquelin, he was given his opportunity to shine out of necessity more than specific design, but it in effect flipped the Gunners' season on its head.
Wenger seemed to tinker with Arsenal's shape in wide areas in the turn of the year, Bellerín was given more space out wide, the introduction of Aaron Ramsey on the right worked wonders, as the Welshman effectively gave the Gunners and extra man in the middle, with the Spanish full back utilising the space that was vacated in front of him.
The 20-year-old was unplayable at times, this was highlighted perfectly in the 4-1 demolition of Liverpool at the Emirates where Bellerin was exceptional, Brendan Rodgers' side simply had no answer.

Next Season

It's fair to say that Bellerín has firmly made the right-back spot his own, after excelling in the absence of Mathieu Debuchy last season.
He was given his first start in the UEFA Champions League againstBorussia Dortmund, which was a baptism of fire and he learned his role within the squad swiftly. He rapidly improved and was one of the great Arsenal stories from last season, along with Coquelin they showed the rest of the Premier League that the future is very bright at the Emirates.
The Spanish under-21 international, is fully expected to start next season as first choice and it is no surprise, he has looked assured in an Arsenal shirt, gives the side great pace and width on the right hand side, and is reminiscent of former Arsenal right-back Lauren, who was a much undervalued player in his time.

Falcao and Pasalic set to swap places in loan deal

Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic will join Monaco on loan for the 2015-16 campaign as part of the deal to bring Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge. The move, sending Falcao from Monaco to Chelsea and Pasalic the other way, was made official on Friday.

Radamel Falcao has officially joined Chelsea on season-long loan with the option to make the move permanent. The deal sees Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, who spent his first year after signing with the Blues on loan at La Liga outfit Elche, going to AS Monaco on loan as well.
Falcao joined Monaco in 2013, but following an injury in his first season with the club, he spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan with Manchester United. He scored only four goals in 29 appearances for the Red Devils, dissuading manager Louis Van Gaal from offering to make the move permanent for £43.2 million.

Mourinho had hinted a transfer before a deal was done

However, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has offered the Colombian striker another chance in the Premier League despite his performance at Old Trafford, indicating that he hopes to help Falcao reach his best form.
“I know him very well from when I was in Portugal and Spain," said Mourinho. He thinks that, "for a player of his level and quality", it’s a pity that the English people believe is he "the same player was at Manchester United".
“I don’t have a close relationship with him," he admitted. However he said "it hurts me because he’s a great player". The Chelsea boss said it would "give me pleasure" if there was a way to help the Premier League supports get to know "the real Falcao".

Pasalic set for first-team minutes

The deal that Mourinho agreed to includes paying a reported fee of £7 million and sending Mario Pasalic to Monaco. The Croatian midfielder scored three goals in 31 appearances while on loan at Elche as the Spanish side finished 13th in the table.
At Monaco, the 20-year-old will get an opportunity to play for a bigger club and gain UEFA Champions League experience. If he impresses, he could eventually be considered as a first-team central midfielder for the Blues.
Falcao could also potentially gain a first-team spot at Chelsea if all goes well as the current Premier League champions have lost Didier Drogba in attack after last season and are looking for a suitable replacement.
Falcao will be reuniting with former Atletico Madrid teammatesDiego CostaFilipe Luis, and Thibaut Courtois in London. If he can recapture the form he had with these three at Atletico, then his place at Stamford Bridge is assured in principle.

Redknapp says Muller would be fantastic for United

Louis van Gaal continues his search for a striker in the transfer market as he plans to re-unite with his former player at Bayern Munich.

As the transfer deadline day was over last season, everybody was pretty sure that Manchester United had bought the player to guarantee them with twenty plus goals every season.
Radamel Falcao's season long loan spell at Old Trafford has ended unsuccessfully, leaving the Red Devils to keep searching for the striker that will be helping Wayne Rooney upfront next season.
Meanwhile, as rumors and reports keep linking Robin van Persiewith a move away of the club, manager Louis van Gaal is keen to sign a striker with Thomas Muller being one of the hottest names on his list.

Redknapp believes Muller is perfect for United

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, believes that the German international is the right man for United. According to the Daily StarRedknapp said that “Thomas Muller would be fantastic signing for any club" and with van Gaal interested "it’s not hard to see why Manchester United would want him."
Yet Redknapp asked why he "would he want to go" and why Bayern would "be prepared to let him go?”
Muller played two seasons under Louis van Gaal at Bayern Munich and it is no surprise that the Dutch manager would love to re-unite with the German international at Old Trafford next season.
Rumors are linking Muller with a move to Manchester United this summer, and according to the Express, a £50 million bid was made by United only to be rejected by the German star.
"When you get an offer you consider it automatically," Muller said.
He continued that a "request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good" but despite this interest from Manchester United, he feels "fine at Bayern" and his "contract runs until 2019. There is nothing more to say about this speculation."
Muller lifted the 2014 World Cup in Brazil last year with Germanyand won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in the season following it, scoring 13 times.

World Cup winner scored more than any United player

Wayne Rooney scored one less than Muller while van Persie scored just ten and Falcao and James Wilson scored a combined total of 5.
The German registered 10 assists, which again is more than Rooney, van Persie, Falcao and Wilson.
Meanwhile, he had a shot accuracy of 61%, greater than United's four forwards by at least 5% for each player.
The transfer market was recently opened and there is still a long time until the deadline day. If a deal brings Muller to Old Trafford, his previous work with Louis van Gaal will only benefit him and the team, possibly solving Manchester United's problem with a lack of goals.

Liverpool snap up wonderkid Adekanye

Bobby Adekanye has completed a transfer from Barcelona to Liverpool,  as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen the club's youth academy.

17-year-old midfielder Bobby Adekanye has confirmed his transfer from Barcelona to Liverpool, via his personal Instagram account.
Adekanye, who has drawn comparisons to Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben at an early age, will join up with the Reds youth set up over the coming weeks, and will most likely feature for the under 21's next season.

Social media confirmation

The Nigerian-born winger revealed on Instagram that he has sealed a transfer to Brendan Rodgers' side, posting a picture of him at Liverpool's training facilities captioned 'I am very happy to sign for Liverpool'.
Barcelona were reluctant to let him go, but were forced to by FIFA, after the world football body concluded that having him at the club went against the rules of their transfer ban.
Liverpool have reportedly beat off competition from a number of European sides, including the likes of Ajax and PSV, to sign the highly rated winger. He spent last season on loan at the former, but decided not to join them permanently.

Lots of moves on L4

The midfielder is the latest in a flurry of incomings to Liverpool this summer, being Brendan Rodgers' 7th signing so far. Danny Ings,Adam Bogdan and James Milner all joined on free transfers, before 18-year-old Joe Gomez was snapped up from Charlton.
Two larger deals came next, with Roberto Firmino joining fromHoffenheim in a move that could rise to £29 million. Liverpool added to that a week later, with Nathaniel Clyne moving from Southampton in a £10 million deal.
Aswell as that, the Reds have shaken up their backroom staff. Assistant manager Colin Pascoe joined coach Mike Marsh in leaving the club, whilst under-16 coach Pep Lijnders was promoted to first team duties. Sean O'Driscoll is expected to be named as Rodgers' new assistant over the next week.
