Sétif held at home by Al Merreikh

Defending CAF Champions League champions ES Sétif were left frustrated as Al Merreikh held them to a 1-1 draw at Stade du 8 mai 1945 on Saturday evening.


The Black Eagles were wasteful throughout the 90 and remain outside the semifinal places after three rounds of fixtures, trailing Group B leaders and Algerian rivals USM Alger by five points.


The Sudanese team applied the early pressure, but it would be the Black Eagles to open the scoring.

The reverse fixture is set for Omdurman in two weeks time.
