Etoile Sportive du Sahel host Zamalek in Sousse on Sunday, in the first leg of their 2015 Confederation Cup last four encounter.

The Tunisians finished second in their Group A on 13 points, behind Al Ahly on goal difference, after enjoying a 100 percent home record.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian giants sealed a first-place finish in Group B on an impressive 15 points.

The White Knights are full of confidence ahead of their trip to Tunisia, after completing their first domestic double since 1988.

The Egyptian Premier League holders defeated arch-rivals Al Ahly 2-0 in the Egypt Cup final on Monday, courtesy of a first-half brace from star striker Bassem Morsi, to put an end to a 21-match winless run against the Red Devils.

And Zamalek are now switching their focus to continental action, in their bid to claim their first ever title in Africa’s second-tier club competition.

However, Etoile prepared for their African clash with a 4-0 win over US Ben Guerdane in the Tunisian Ligue 1, and will be looking to keep their momentum going on Sunday.

“Just one week from the first leg of our CAF semifinal tie, it was necessary to mentally pick ourselves up,” said Etoile coach Faouzi Benzarti, who defeated Zamalek in the final of the 1994 CAF Champions League at the helm of Espérance de Tunis.

The Tunisians enjoy a good record against the Cairo giants, whom they defeated on away goals in the semifinals of the 1999 CAF Cup before securing a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 win in the group stage of the 2005 edition of the CAF Champions League.

The match will kick off at Stade Olympique de Sousse at 21h00 CAT on Sunday 27 September 2015.
