UAE sets up committee for Asian Cup

Asian football showpiece to be held in 2019

Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, deputy chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Honorary President of the UAE Football Association, issued a resolution forming the Local Higher Organising Committee of the 2019 Asian Cup, to be hosted by the UAE in 2019.

The newly set up committee will be chaired by Shaikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.

Major General Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi will be the deputy chairman of the committee.

The committee members include Mohammad Ebrahim Al Mahmour, representative of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, representative of the Football Association, and Major General Dr Ahmad Nasser Al Raisi as representative of the Ministry of Interior.
