• Josip Iličić's second-half penalty miss completes Fiorentina's miserable night
• Final will take place at National Stadium Warsaw on 27 May

Sevilla FC will have the chance to battle for a fourth final success in this competition in Warsaw after a 2-0 semi-final win in Italy slammed the door shut on ACF Fiorentina's hopes of overturning a 3-0 deficit.
Carlos Bacca and Daniel Carriço struck in the space of six first-half minutes to turn a difficult second-leg task into an impossible one for Vincenzo Montella's side, with a missed penalty in the second half completing a dispiriting night for the hosts. FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk now await Unai Emery's title holders in the final after they ousted the other Serie A representatives in the last four, SSC Napoli.
Fiorentina might wonder how things might have ended up had Sergio Rico not pulled off an instinctive save to claw away Gonzalo Rodríguez's header from a 16th-minute corner, but once the dam broke at the other end, there was absolutely no way back for Montella's men. The Viola will not enjoy watching the playback of Bacca's opener, Éver Banega's free-kick from the right squirming through a forest of legs for the Colombian to control and slam into the roof of Neto's net on 22 minutes.
That left Fiorentina needing at least five goals to get to the final in Warsaw, and that mission became more impossible still on 27 minutes. A set piece pumped into the box was hooked across the area by Coke, with José María Basanta's attempt at a block only serving to guide the ball onto the toes of the on-rushing Carriço, his finish coming from even closer range than Bacca's – one metre out rather than two.

The Tuscans did not give up entirely, but for all of the clever touches of Mohamed Salah and Josip Iličić, Sevilla rarely took their eye off the ball for a second. Shots were invariably closed down fast, and even when Grzegorz Krychowiak's foul on David Pizarro gave the Viola a penalty, Fiorentina could not capitalise, Iličić's effort comfortably clearing the crossbar on 67 minutes. Rico later swatted away another strike from the Slovene as Fiorentina's quest for a consolation continued. The 5-0 aggregate defeat was the heaviest in a semi-final since the advent of the UEFA Europa League, and three-time winners will look to break more records against Dnipro on 27 May.
