Munich - Arturo Vidal's FC Bayern München career is underway. A day after officially being presented as the Bavarians' big summer signing, the Chilean was put through his paces for the first time in training.

Donning some striking pink boots, Vidal stepped out at Bayern's Säbener Straße training ground on Wednesday afternoon to be welcomed by his new team-mates.

'I'm ready'

Three days ahead of the 2015 Supercup against VfL Wolfsburg, coach Pep Guardiola was delighted to be able to welcome his new recruit into action. And with only Franck Ribery, Holger Badstuber, Jan Kirchhoff, Dante and Javi Martinez absent, the Catalan was able to conduct training with a sizeable contingent of his squad.

Vidal has had rather a short summer break after winning the 2015 Copa America with Chile, but said at his unveiling on Tuesday that he would be more than ready to make his debut against Wolfsburg on Saturday. "If the coach wants me to play, then I'm ready," said the former Juventus midfielder after he signed a four-year contract with the Bavarians.

Munich - Boasting no less than seven World Cup winners in their star-studded squad, FC Bayern München are no strangers to swelling their ranks with high-calibre quality. The German record titleholders' marquee summer signing Arturo Vidal most certainly falls into that category.

Fresh from winning the Copa America 2015 with Chile and his post-tournament summer holiday in Miami, Florida, the reigning Bundesliga champions' new midfield enforcer has arrived in southern Bavaria. bundesliga.com was on hand to keep you abreast of all the developments surrounding the 28-year-old's official unveiling as an FC Bayern München player on Tuesday.

That’s all from Munich and King Arturo for now. The next time we see him in an FCB shirt might just be at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday evening. Bayern fans will certainly hope so.

In the meantime, Vidal should probably start working on his German, seeing as he’s already mastered Bavarian! Ciao for now.

King Arturo has been given the number 23 shirt. (For those of you who remember Sven Ulreich being presented with the number 23 shirt a few weeks ago, the former VfB Stuttgart stopper will now wear the number 26.

Speaking to Bayern's official club website shortly after putting pen to paper on his new contract, Vidal said he is "thrilled about playing in the Bundesliga again and obviously hope to win it this time."

The camera bulbs were popping as Bayern unveiled Arturo Vidal as their latest acquisition on Twitter.

The Chilean international has signed a contract valid until 2019 and the German record titleholders will be hoping he will add the grit and determination their midfield unit was missing at times last season.

Vidal has landed

Arturo Vidal touched down in Munich on Monday evening and having spent the night at a hotel in the city centre, is expected to undergo the mandatory pre-transfer medical check later today before putting pen to paper on a four-year contract with the German record titleholders. Vidal himself has kept quiet over the past few days, last tweeting, "A new era...a new dream...here we go Munich!", upon his departure from Miami.

All good things must come to an end

After saying goodbye to Miami, for Vidal it's now all about completing his move to Munich and getting back to the daily ins and outs of being a professional footballer. However, FC Bayern fans will have to wait until Saturday's Supercup encounter with VfL Wolfsburg to see their new recruit in action as Pep Guardiola has not planned any public training sessions for the remainder of this week.
