Even disastrous David Moyes had better win percentage
LOUIS VAN GAAL is Manchester United’s WORST manager in 35 years.
Despite spending over £300million since taking over at Old Trafford, the Dutchman has won less than half of his 83 games in charge.
Last night’s defeat against Danish minnow Midtjylland was another low point of a dreadful spell for Van Gaal — and it now means he has lost a whopping 20 games in just one and a half seasons at United.
Unsurprisingly, Sir Alex Ferguson has the best win percentage of any United boss — triumphing in 59.67 per cent of his 1,500 matches as manager.
While, David Moyes — whose tenure was considered a disaster — is statistically the Red Devils’ second-best boss since World War II.
With the legendary Sir Matt Busby — who had to rebuild a whole new team, following the Munich Air Disaster in 1958 — third on the list with a win percentage of 50.5%.
Ryan Giggs won two of the four games in charge.
And even Ron Atkinson fared better than Van Gaal — despite managing a side which was never able to sustain a title challenge.
