Sunday Recap

Mali made a dramatic comeback against Tunisia in the second half of their quarter-final clash in Kagali, progressing to the next stage with a 2-1 victory.
The eventual winners set up in a traditional 4-4-2 against Tunisia's counter-attacking 4-5-1, and the tactics paid dividends late in the day for Mali.
Tunisia took the lead after 14 minutes as Mohamed Manser struck for his side. The Eagles of Carthage dominated the opening 20 minutes as Les Aigles struggled to make an impression.
Coulibaly Mamadou and Abdoul Toure both came close for Mali as they searched for an equaliser before half-time, but they failed to level the scoreline.
Tunisia had opportunities to extend their lead including a piledriver shot from Ali Maaloul, which was parried away by goalkeeper Diarra Djigui.
Mali stepped up a gear in the second half as they looked to quickly crush the Tunisian advantage.
However, the Malians had to wait until the 70th minute before Aliou Dieng equalised from the penalty spot after Zied Boughattas handled in the area.
Tunisia were scrambling to stay in the match as Mali drove forward for a winner, and the game was put to bed 10 minutes before full-time, as Abdoulaye Diarra grabbed the decisive strike.

Overall, Mali deservedly turned the tide on Sunday, with the Tunisians far too cautious after their opening goal.
Mali will now play an Ivory Coast side full of power and pace. The Elephants have the drive and motivation to reach the final, and they will be difficult opponents when they meet in the last four.
